On March 19, 2025, the Delegation of Boxing County, Shandong Province, visited the NEXT Federation. The visit aimed to deepen the friendly exchanges and cooperation between Boxing County in Shandong Province and New Zealand in the fields of trade, culture, technology, and more. The delegation was composed of representatives from the government departments and enterprises of Boxing County, led by Ms. Tian Chunli, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Boxing County Committee and Director of the United Front Work Department.

At the Meeting, Ms. Tian Chunli delivered a keynote speech, focusing on the achievements and vision of Boxing County in industrial transformation, rural revitalization, and opening-up. She emphasized the positive significance of China-New Zealand cooperation for local development. Following her speech, Prof. Patrick Hu, President of the New Zealand Chinese Scientists Association and Professor of Electrical Engineering at the University of Auckland, shared insights into New Zealand’s technological innovation ecosystem and the potential for cooperation between New Zealand and local Chinese regions.
Daniel Pascoe, Board Member of the New Zealand China Friendship Society Auckland Branch, reviewed the long-standing cooperation between China and New Zealand from the perspective of grassroots exchanges and offered prospects for future cultural exchanges. Charles You, Supervisor of the NEXT Federation and President of the New Zealand Jiangsu Chamber of Commerce, focused on the integration of business chamber resources and discussed feasible paths for cross-border cooperation between local enterprises.
